Conducting Cutting-Edge Research

C.A.U.S.E.S. has launched a groundbreaking five-year longitudinal study that will provide DCFS with a detailed picture of children who are wards of the state and identified as having sexual behavior problems. Most current research on children with sexual behavior problems involves youngsters who have been convicted of sexual offenses. Our research focuses on an understudied population: children with sexual behavior problems who are not involved with the juvenile delinquency system.
